The historic Wollerscheim Winery has been in operation since the 1840s, when the Hungarian Count Agoston Harazathy, today known as the founder of the California wine industry, first staked it out as a perfect place to grow grapes. Today, the winery bottles some 215,000 gallons of award-winning wine, and visitors can take a guided tour of the winery and vineyards or taste some of the heady wines produced there. The winery is located across the river from the city and Derleth Park.
Open daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tours run 15 minutes past the hour.
